ABF reveals which brands have the most stores in Brazil, reports José Hawilla

The survey considers only the companies that are associated with the Brazilian Franchising Association and, in turn, that sent the data for auditing.

The second edition of the study on the 50 Largest Franchise Brands in Brazil in number of units and preliminary data of performance of the sector in 2017, made by the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF), was announced in January, on 11, highlights the entrepreneur , owner of TV TEM, José Hawilla.

It should be noted, however, that the ranking considers only the companies that are associated with ABF and, in turn, that sent the data for audit. The survey excludes, for example, big brands that in 2016 were at the top of the list, but in 2017 did not send their information, emphasizes José Hawilla. Subway, a chain of fast food restaurants, is one of them – in the first issue of the study, the brand appeared in second place with 2,153 stores and, this time, was not cited for lack of data.

Another that in the previous issue was the fifth placed with 2,011 units, and does not appear in the publication of the second edition of the survey for not submitting its information is the Ortobom mattress brand, notes J. Hawilla.

O Boticário, in turn, remains firm in the lead, with 3,762 units open. The second place, in 2017, was with the AM PM Mini Market network, with 2,415 stores in operation. The Cacau Show was another that maintained its placement in relation to the previous edition – the third position, with 2,081 units.

J. Hawilla reports that, according to ABF, among the top ten, there is a highlight for the Jet Oil, Lubrax + and BR Mania networks which – with significant expansions in number of units – have gained positions compared to 2016.

Also according to the Brazilian Franchising Association, the networks that presented the greatest variation of position were Acqio, which gained 15 positions; Day%, 9 positions; Seguralta; 7 positions; 5àsec, rose 7 positions; Piticas, 7 positions; Carol Optics, 6 positions; and Embelleze Institute, 6 positions.

In this edition, entered the group of 50 Greater Brazil, the networks Casa de Bolos; SPA of the Eyebrows; and No + Fur, highlights entrepreneur José Hawilla.
